Ábaton’s Sustainable Home

Combining nature, design, and environmental responsibility into one aesthetically pleasing package, Spanish development firm Ábaton transformed an abandoned stable into a home full of innovation. During the summer, solar panels provide energy while in the wintry months, wind turbines utilize two of the property’s streams to provide electricity. To keep your feet warm as the days grow a bit colder, large expanses of stone floors provide thermal heating. What’s more, all materials used in the home’s renovation are recyclable. Gives a new meaning to “stable,” doesn’t it?
